MFM reports 2010 results and prospects for 2011 | ![]() |
Most of our year end accounting is coming to a close and I am glad to report that 2010 is over. This past year's financial results were the worst for MFM in at least 9 years. Hail, Wind, Tornado, and Flood! We experienced it all in the 3rd quarter. We tracked 8 storms in 2010 and paid more in net claims (after reinsurance recoveries) than any time in the Company's history. Our second quarter results were tracking VERY well through May and then June changed everything. We had our fair share of the Wadena, Minnesota tornado.
